Pros

  • Good breakfast variety
  • Cheap pricing on food
  • Bulk meals available for families
  • Shop offers can help you make your food at home

Cons

  • Early closing time

The Breakfast Klub (yes, that’s Klub with a “k”) is one of the more unique breakfast brunch spots in Houston. This is thanks to their delicious, affordable approach to food – along with the fact that you can make their food at home, too!

And yes, that means exactly what you think it is – The Breakfast Klub offers some of their seasoning packages and batters on their store for you to try out in your home! Their Chikin Coating is our top pick, and it can give your fried chicken a unique taste.

But if you can’t be bothered to cook, then visiting them is your best option! The sheer variety of food The Breakfast Klub has is amazing, and it’s relatively cheap when you consider the flavor. We suggest their Kountry Sausage & Eggs for a good breakfast staple!

The only thing we must criticize about The Breakfast Klub is their operating hours. They do open earlier compared to other breakfast brunch spots in Houston, but they also close early as well, at 2 PM for 7 days a week.

That aside though, we still like The Breakfast Klub, especially with their affordable family meals! There are only two options to choose from and both are good, but the Wings & Waffles are our top pick since the fluffy waffles pairs nicely with the crispy wings!

Pros

  • Lots of locations in Houston
  • Unique menu items
  • Weekend brunch offers delicious options
  • Good drinks selections

Cons

  • Prices can be expensive

With at least six branches in Houston alone, Black Walnut Cafe is already a lot more convenient compared to other breakfast brunch spots in Houston – but they take it to the next level by offering very unique and delicious menu items, too!

We really like their approach to breakfast food, especially with their healthier options. Their healthy omelet options are our top pick – more specifically, the Healthier Than The Rest Omelets! It’s both healthy and tasty at the same time, which is a genuine surprise.

Their weekend brunch menus are great too, but the drinks are what makes the experience that much more special. We suggest combining their Pineapple Chili Ranch Water and their Biorria Breakfast if you want to start your day with a little bit of spice.

However, these items can be a bit pricier than the rest. To put that to perspective, both the Healthier Than The Rest Omelet and the Birria Breakfast that we’ve mentioned earlier will cost you $13, that’s not even including taxes, of course.

That being said though, Black Walnut Cafe is still a good breakfast brunch spot in Houston – especially when you consider that you can get their (honestly delicious) Caramel Macchiato for a bit less than Starbucks’!

Pros

  • All-day breakfast
  • Good variety of menu items
  • Omelet options offer mix-ins
  • Drinks from all over the world

Cons

  • Closed on Tuesdays

Harry’s is the ideal spot if you’re looking to eat your breakfast any time of the day – well, right until they close at 2 PM, anyways. That’s still plenty of time to eat breakfast though!

They have great variety of food, and the flavor profile is very much what you’d expect, if not tastier – like their Chillaquilles Divorcados, for example!

And what’s a good breakfast without omelets – which Henry’s delivers in style, too! Their Spitiko brings an authentic Greek flavor to their omelets but they also have an option to build your own omelet, too!

What puzzles us about Harry’s though, is that they’re closed on Tuesdays. So if you’re craving for their food on that day, then you’re better off looking at the other breakfast brunch spots in Houston that we’ve listed out here.

Nevertheless, Harry’s still manages to bring Greek breakfast to Houston. If you’re in there for their brunch, then try out their Greek-style Caffeinated Greek Frozen Margarita Frozen Margaritas, too!

Pros

  • Good selections
  • Gluten-free breakfasts available
  • Specialty drinks are good quality
  • The Whiskey of the Month Club

Cons

  • Opens late for breakfast

One of the premier breakfast brunch spots in Houston for their drinks (as their name implies), Bosscat Kitchen & Libations truly stands out from the rest thanks to their great sections and special drink options!

What we like the most about Bosscat Kitchen & Libations is their stellar food options. They have Pancakes and Flapjacks, but if you’re on a gluten-free diet then they have lots to choose from, with These Are Nacho Fries being the complete standout.

And if you’re in there for brunch, then we suggest trying their drinks out! The Mimosas are nicely done and are just the right amount of sweet, but if you want something spicier, then their Flamin’ Hot Bloody Mary is a good choice.

The only thing we don’t like as much about Bosscat Kitchen & Libations is that they open relatively late compared to other breakfast brunch spots in Houston at 11 AM. They are open for brunch though, and as we’ve mentioned, their food is great.

But if you’re not visiting Bosscat Kitchen & Libations for their brunch, then we suggest visiting them for their extensive drinks selections. Plus, joining their Whiskey of the Month Club for $75 will open you to a lot more drinks than you’d expect.

Score Consistency3.9/5

Pros

  • Healthy, locally-sourced food
  • Delicious menu options
  • Fixed price on brunch menu
  • Good breakfast options

Cons

  • Expensive pricing

With a location as extravagant as The Posk Oak Hotel, you might expect that Bloom & Bee’s will be expensive. And though you’re right on that one, the flavor profile and the sheer amount of healthy options they have available more than makes up for it!

What makes Bloom & Bee stand out is the fact that they only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to make their food.

If you want good breakfast food, then we suggest trying out their specialty Post Oak Breakfast for a delicious, savory meal. But if you want something more filling, then the Continental Breakfast is just as good, along with the small Fruit Salad.

But as we’ve mentioned earlier, the locally sourced, delicious approach does come at a price. You’ll pay at least $30 for the breakfast options that we’ve mentioned earlier.

But if you’re not a fan of their prices, then your best bet to eat at Bloom & Bee would be during their brunch for the fixed prices for their food. It’s still $65, but you can get your money’s worth – especially with their excellent Nutella-Stuffed Buttermilk French Toast!

Pros

  • Daily brunch has lots of food
  • Good drink choices
  • Open til the evenings
  • Website members get free desserts & $10 off

Cons

  • A bit more expensive

One of the more famous breakfast brunch spots in Houston, we like how Dish Society has lots of good breakfast options for the Houstonians to choose from. And have we mentioned that they’re locally sourced and fresh, too?

Yes, every ingredient Dish Society uses for their food comes from local farms and businesses. They’ve even listed the businesses on their website for full transparency!

However, this philosophy can make the menu more expensive compared to others. Dish Society’s food options cost at least $3 – $5 more compared to other breakfast brunch spots in Houston.

But if you ask us? Paying extra for their food is worth it! The Ranch Style Eggs are great and come with chopped Texas brisket, which makes the asking price of $14 good value for money.

Their drinks are a great deal too! Their Matcha costs $5 and we also suggest trying out their Macchiato, Cortado, and Flat White mix.

What’s more, you can save at least $10 (and get a free dessert too!) if you sign up and become a member through their website. So if you want to be Dish Society’s new regular after trying them out, then we suggest doing that.

Pros

  • Specialty egg dishes
  • Vegan brunch bowls
  • $1 for gluten-free toast substitutions
  • Delicious favorite dishes

Cons

  • Long wait time

With a name like Toasted Yolk Cafe, you’d expect their egg dishes to be “egg-ceptional”. And we’re here to tell you that it’s completely correct!

Toasted Yolk Cafe really goes above and beyond with their food! From their specialty egg dishes to their Yolk Favorites, they manage to put a twist on the typical eggs and make it delicious.

There are lots of menu items to choose from, but eggs are the go-to here, especially their Yolkwich with scrambled eggs. But if you’re looking for something different or you’re allergic to eggs, then the Porkchop Breakfast is good, too.

If you’re vegan, Toasted Yolk Cafe offers filling Brunch Bowls. The Garden Breakfast Bowl being the complete standout, since the Southern Breakfast Bowl isn’t vegan-friendly at all.

Though their food is good, the one problem we had with Toasted Yolk Cafe is their long wait time, and you will have to wait for a long time to get your food. It’s not too long for you to be hangry, but still a bit too long for convenience’s sake.

But when you do receive their food, the long wait time will be worth it. Plus, if you do try out their sandwiches, then you can always request them to make it out of gluten-free bread for as little as a dollar!

Pros

  • Good variety of breakfast food
  • Delicious coffees
  • American-style breakfasts
  • Okay price point

Cons

  • Closes at 1:30 PM

Want a more traditional, American breakfast brunch spot in Houston that offers their food for a reasonable price? If so, then Le Peep might just be the place that you’re looking for – especially with their breakfast menu!

Le Peep’s American-style breakfasts are flavorful, and you can choose how you want your eggs cooked. The Hen House is best suited for those who want a potato-filled breakfast with their grilled potatoes, and The Roost is for every meat-lover out there!

Their coffee selections are a bit limited compared to their food menu, but it does its job well and it’s brewed just right. The traditional Cold Draft Cafe de Olla would be our go-to, especially when you’re a fan of both horchatas and coffee.

The only nitpick we have with Le Peep is they close 30 minutes earlier on weekdays. compared to other breakfast brunch spots in Houston.

Nevertheless, their prices are decent compared to other restaurants. They may not be the cheapest, but they’re not the most expensive either. Since the quality of their food is good, we think they’re worth it.

9. Squable

9. Squable

Pros

  • Brunch is open ‘til 4 PM
  • Good food variety
  • Extensive brunch drinks menu
  • Well-made desserts

Cons

  • Closed for breakfast/brunch is only on weekends
  • Expensive food

A  relatively chic breakfast brunch spot in the heart of Houston, we like how Squable’s brunch hours are longer than others in Houston. In fact, you order their brunch until 4 PM!

But before you celebrate, take note that Squable’s operating hours are a bit odd.  They’re only open in the mornings and the afternoons on the weekends and only at night on weekdays.

They also have limited food options to choose from, but there is a nice variety, nevertheless. Both the small and big plates have delicious choices, but the Fried Chicken is unlike anything we’ve tried before!

Yes, Squable’s prices are more expensive but their food is tasty and their affordable cocktails make up it. Try out their Mimosas for a typical brunch experience, or the Irish Coffee for a kick!

Those aren’t the only drinks Squable has to offer though, as they also have craft beers and wines for you to choose from. The Sparkling Bisson is a nice option, but if you feel like having beers then we suggest trying out Eureka Heights’ Buckle Bunny.

Pros

  • Healthy food options
  • Juice bar offers a good variety
  • Egg-sclusives are “eggscellent”
  • Good twist on griddle menus

Cons

  • Long wait times

First Watch is a must-visit for health enthusiasts who still want to eat a filling meal without resorting to tasteless meals!

We like how they don’t compromise flavor just to be healthy. Their Power Wrap comes with their tasty Pico de Gallo, but if you’re on a vegan diet then the Sunrise Granola Bowl will be your go-to.

But if you want a more typical breakfast experience, then we suggest trying out their “egg-scellent Egg-sclusives”! The Elevated Egg Sandwich is a tall egg burger in a brioche bun, but we like the creativity of the Smoked Salmon Benedict.

The only thing we don’t like about First Watch is their long wait time. So we suggest going before you get too “hangry”.

If you want something quickly though, then we suggest getting their Two Multigrain Pancake. It’s a big serving, and it’s the go-to meal if you’re looking for a light breakfast. Pair that with their Kale Tonic Fresh Juice and you’re set!
